Annie Gourlie, LMT, MA

​Annie completed her massage therapy training at The Cortiva Institute in Boston during 2011 and 2012, including a 100-hour intensive training in Orthopedic Massage techniques from Tom Karis, LMT, OMT.  She has complimentary training in both Usui (2008) and Karuna Reiki Systems (2012) with Dori Dzinski, MA, LPC, reaching the master-teacher training level in both.  Annie received foundational training in Hypnotherapy from the New England Society of Hypnosis in 2012, along with mentorship from her father, a family physician, who practiced hypnosis for 30 years.  During a hiatus from practice to focus on her family, Annie experienced first hand the powerful benefits of Craniosacral Therapy on her family's quality of life.  It was the beginning of a journey back to bodywork, where her heart belongs.  Annie has pursued training in Craniosacral Therapy since 2023, and continues to pursue advanced training through The Upledger Institute to offer deeper levels of support to her clients.  As a complement to her bodywork, Annie has a undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences (2007) and a Master's Degree in Integrative Health and Healing (2010).

Annie's therapeutic style is a reflection of her training and background. In session, she may incorporate craniosacral and myofascial techniques, principles of tensegrity and mechanotransduction, guided dialogue and energy work. She has a strong anatomical background grounded in science, as well as a deep connection to her intuition, both of which she utilizes in practice.
